Ed Helmick is an award winning photographer, pilot, and four wheeler. He is expanding his talents by writing books.
Janice is his sidekick, and is new to four wheeling. She goes with Ed on the Jeep trips and photo shoots, and she is fulfilling a dream - she has always felt there was a book deep inside her. She has now written one and is working on more.
Ed and Janice met on Christmas day, 2006. We often remark that we were the best Christmas gifts we ever received.
Ed invited Janice along on a Jeep ride to Little Sahara Sand Dunes in Utah County, Utah in January 2007. That was the start of something great!!! Ed belonged to the Lone Peak 4 Wheelers in Lindon, Utah. Janice began attending meetings and trail rides with him.
As Janice experienced new roads and experiences, she began to write them in journal style. Soon they blossomed into a book. The first book was put together for the members of the Jeep club. The second book was for her six children and Ed's two daughters. The final edition of Jeepin' with Janice is highlighted in the Books section.
In 2008 Ed was elected president of the Jeep Club, and began to collect four wheel drive information to enliven the meetings with trivia games. This grew into the 4WD Trivia Book. See more information on this book in the Books section.
